The central government will start setting up charging points for electric vehicles across the country within the next two months. The center said in a statement on Wednesday.
What is the reason for this?
Petrol price peaks. Moreover, there is also the aspect of environmental pollution. As a result, over time, most countries are turning to electric cars and motorbikes. India also has various international agreements in this regard.
Moreover, the sales of electric vehicles have increased significantly in the last one year. More electric scooters and bikes are on the streets of the city than ever before.
Car-motorbike manufacturers are also bringing battery-powered models.
But most people think about where to charge when they go out. And that is still a big obstacle in the sale of electric cars and bikes in the country.
Supervision of special committee
A committee was formed with experts from the center and representatives of various electric vehicle manufacturers. The idea and initiative of this charging point is following the recommendation of that committee.
Cost
It is estimated that each unit will cost Rs 3,500. This AC charging point can be set up on any 220V 15A single phase line.
How does a person pay for charging?
Payment will be made for charging via smartphone. As a result, payment can be made automatically without any attendant.
Where to place?
According to the decision of the central committee, charging points will be set up in parking lots of metro and railway stations, shopping malls, hospitals, office complexes, adjacent places of various residences.
